Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress, producer and director. Her work has been recognized for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with many awards for her performance which includes an Oscar. Her career began as an actress on Broadway and Off Broadway. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th year play. The actress was deaf in one ear following a bout of mumps but did not allow this handicap to hinder her determination to become an actress. When she was a teenager, she took classes in drama at college and moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could pursue her ambitions. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. When she moved from Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged a supporting role for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Over the past three decades, since then Holly Hunter has been in many films, television movies and series. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
